This week, students will continue to work on the comprehension essay part of their IRP in class and at home. Each 5th grader should have their IRP book, with them every day in class and the most recent draft of their writing. There will be time on Thursday afternoon to go over your draft with a buddy or your teacher to be sure your writing is on track!

Literacy Monday: Finish worksheet and make flashcards for Week 8 Greek/Latin roots Tuesday: Week 8 Greek/Latin worksheet Wednesday: Get all tests/quizzes/grades signed and return to Ms. Granstrand tomorrow; finish flashcards to be checked tomorrow Thursday: Week 8 Greek/Latin Quiz tomorrow Friday: None Humanities: Monday: Work on your comprehension essay about your IRP book Tuesday: Work on the draft of your comprehension essay on your slavery IRP book Wednesday: Work on the draft of your comprehension essay on your slavery IRP book (you will have time to show Ms. Granstrand your draft tomorrow afternoon in class) Thursday: Work on the draft of your comprehension essay on your slavery IRP book Friday: Finish your IRP comprehension essay. It is due on Wednesday 4/11. It can be typed or very neatly hand-written. The 3rd and final portion of the IRP (1 - read the book; 2- write the comprehension essay) is to complete at home. If IXL is assigned for homework, that means that the active minutes must take place after 2:30pm. If another teacher allows students to use IXL during free time, those minutes do not count towards the IXL practice assigned for homework.
